TOMS’ history dates back to 1924 when the two pharmacists Trojel and Meyer founded the Company. The growth of the business accelerated in the years after WW II.
The groundwork was laid down for the TOMS Group in the mid-1950s by acquiring Anthon Berg, Penguin Liquorice in 1962 and Galle & Jessen in 1971. During this period TOMS move to Ballerup, where the factory is expanded repeatedly ever since.
