The first version of the CKO VW Bus was produced in both Kombi (ambulance and non ambulance) and Pritsche models. The body is a one piece diecast metal stamping with fine details of the doors, V front with logo and cut out windows. There are two different style bumpers modled into the body. Details of the ambulance indicate a 1962 model and the Pickup is 1958 or older. The Ambulance also has three separate buttons for the Red Cross logos on the doors and rear hatch. The headlights are plated steel buttons and a blue light adorns the roof. A separate stamped chassis has steel axles supporting metal wheels with rubber tires. Other than a metal panel that simulates frosted side windows, there is no interior other than a cardboard box over the friction front wheel drive motor. By the way the numbers on the chassis' indicate the model but have no reference to the year of manufacture -401- is a Kombi,  -402- is a Kombi and -398- is a Pickup.
