It may be Finnish made, and there is some speculation that it may have been made by the Nokia company in the 1950´s, although it is not confirmed. Nokia was founded in 1865 by mr. Frederik Idestam as a woodmill in a little town called Nokia. Nokia also was chosen as the company name. Later the company expanded into rubberproducts. After WW2, Nokia bought a company called Finnish Cable Works. Much later they became famous for their mobile phones...
The Volkswagen beetle toy is made of hard rubber, the wheels are plastic. NOKIA produced other vehicles besides the VW as well.
