This Split VW is stamped out of a shiny tin metal left plain or has a copper colored finish. Solid windows with fairly good details of a Split Window VW Sedan. Indented front hood and rear deck lid, headlights, taillights, rear split window and air louvers. Over-sized front and rear bumpers with guards. Body attached to the stamped metal chassis with body 4 tabs. Chassis has 4 narrow metal wheels and a 5th center wheel that may be connected to a friction motor. Possibly a car from a toy track set?

BUC, which indicates, that it was produced in the communist period of Romania. The Company still exists in Bucharest, but does not produce toys (anymore?). Sometimes this Split Window toy is described as of KdF Wagen era which it is not.
