Diecast metal body with cut out windows and fair details of front and rear hood and rear oval window with air louvers. Metal chassis with bumpers may or may not be stamped STREAMLUX – AUST. This Oval VW was listed in the STREAMLUX catalog as NO.9 and was perhaps the last diecast car produced by STREAMLUX. Underwood Engineering Co. Ltd., New Zealand, acquired the tooling and dies in 1962 and then produced a series of small scale cars that were sold under the name of FUN HO. The STREAMLUX Oval VW and the FUN HO Oval VW are basically the same except for the chassis stamping.
