There are several vintage VW toys and models that are a mystery as far as origin and manufacturer to the VW toy collectors. Some of these are hard to identify because no manufacture markings or some cryptic markings were stamped on the toys per se. Some have been identified only from a name or an insignia that appears on the original shipping carton they were sold in or some strange letter stamping on the car. Many of the vintage Split Window VW toys are hard enough to locate let alone finding them in their original shipping carton to get a clue of the origin.
