GAMA US ARMY GERMANY SPLIT WINDOW VW-US ZONE

In 1881 the GAMA Company was founded by Georg Adam Mangold in Fürth, Germany. GAMA was one of the first companies after the war to be allowed to produce toys again. They set up production in an old military barracks. GAMA produced this metal version V2 of the Split window Volkswagen from 1948-53 and was stamped “GAMA - MADE IN US ZONE GERMANY.”

This GAMA Split VW was found in a rusty, dented and well played with condition. It was in an undesirable state that collectors were not interested in it as collectable. This GAMA Split VW went through the Restro-Version Shop and the life was brought back into it as a US ARMY military service vehicle stationed in Germany during the WWII post war late 1940s era. Check out the photos.

Check out the “GAMA & KÖRA Split VW Article” on this site (under Split Window Toys (SW)) for additional information in general about the similarities between the GAMA & KÖRA Split Window VWs.
