The paint and decal theme chosen for the project was to create a pair of Bandai VW Busses that would represent The Vintage VW Model and Toy Club web site. The Bandai VW Busses have indentations on the lower body sections and decals were made with the manufacturers name represented on the site. The Bandai Samba VW Bus has indentations for the roof windows and decals were made for the windows and sliding sunroof as well. A total of 55 decals were designed, scaled, printed on plain paper, cut out and doubled check for proper size. When all were correct, then a water transfer decal sheet was printed on a color laser printer. Eventually, all those 55 decals were cut out and applied to the painted tin parts. After all the decals were applied, then a final clear paint coat was applied to set the decals.
