OMO is a synthetic washing powder brand of Unilever, which was introduced in The Netherlands in 1952. OMO, like many other brands, included plastic toys with their detergents as promotional items to boost loyalty. The toys featured here were most probably only used in The Netherlands as promotional items.

A soft plastic body in the shape of a VW COMBI Bus with solid windows and details of the front emblem without the VW, headlights, cab and side door seam lines. Front bumper only id molded into the body. No chassis and the white plastic wheels and axles are clipped onto the body. The axles seem to be quite large for the bus, but this is original. It came in a series of 6 different cars. Inside the roof is marked VW and some are marked OMO which is a detergent Company as the toys were a promotional give a way. Although the actual manufacturer is unknown, this VW is listed under the OMO name as some of the cars have OMO inside the roof.
