HAMKER MARGARINE VW BUS

This little plastic vehicle was made in the shape of a VW Passenger and also a Cargo Bus and was a promotional toy for the HAMKER Company, established 1906, which was and is one of the leading Companies with regard to fats, mayonnaise, margarine, etc. in Europe. HAMKER is not the actual manufacturer of the VW Bus itself, but used it for promotion purposes. It was part of a series of various automobiles. The plastic body is 32 mm long, but with the tow hook it measures 37mm. The body has cut out windows, no chassis and the black plastic wheels attach to the body. Inside the roof it is numbered 1 and on top of the roof it reads “HAMKER MARGARINE”.
